EARLY DISMISSALS:

MEETINGS DURING LUNCH TODAY:

*Ignatian Brothers CLC meets today during lunch in GR105.

*VIKING CLUB!  VIKINGS! We meet today at lunch in GR 203 to plan the final feast for this year! Be there!

 

FUTURE MEETINGS:

*Tuesday, 5/14: Students for Others meets in JG 204 at break.

*Tuesday, 5/14:  Speech & Debate meets each Tuesday after school in GR 105.

*Wednesday, 5/14:  South Asian Student Union meets in GP 104.

*Wednesday, 5/14:  Interact Club meets in GP 102 at break.

*Wednesday, 5/14:  Mathletes meets in GP 203 at lunch every Wednesday.

 

ATHLETICS:

*Baseball Players: There is a mandatory meeting at the start of lunch in the Weight Room on Monday, May 12 for all baseball players (Frosh, JV and Varsity).

*Track & Field Athletes:  There is a mandatory meeting at the start of lunch in the Weight Room on Tuesday, May 13 for all track & field athletes (F/S, Varsity all events).

*BASKETBALL:  Anyone interested in playing JV or Varsity basketball next year must attend an informational meeting, Wednesday May 14 at break in the gym.

 

SENIORS:

*Reminder: Applications for the Mayor Joe Serna, Jr. Scholarship Program are due by Thursday, 5/15.

*Seniors in Christian Service Periods 3 & 7-Your last day of service will be tomorrow, Tuesday, 5/13, with our final reflection group on 5/14. Be sure to have your final evaluation completed by your supervisor. Note: Students traveling to the Rugby Nationals-your final essay and evaluation are due to Mrs. Barnes BEFORE you leave.

 

JUNIORS:

*Marquette University is hosting its annual Summer Leadership Institute from July 14-16th. Through workshops students will engage in conversations about leadership at Marquette, how to become a leader in their academic and personal life, and how to translate their vision of leadership into college applications. *St. Francis HS is offering an ACT Prep Workshop for the June ACT. If you are interested, see Mrs. Smith in the Counseling Center or email Mrs. Rivera at SF, srivera@stfrancishs.org.

*Positions on the Executive Council: Any Junior interested in the Executive Council positions of Historian or Audio/Visual Technician must fill out a petition; the petitions are due by the end of the day on Thursday. See Coach Hall in the Activities Office for a petition.

*Chief Justice position:  Any junior that would like to be considered for the position of Chief Justice must fill out a petition; petitions are available in the Activities Office and are due by the end of the day on Thursday.

 

SOPHOMORES:

*The mandatory Sophomore Level Academic Probation meeting has been postponed until next Thursday, May 15 at lunch in JG 103

 

ALL STUDENTS:

*BBQ tomorrow, 5/13:  The Interact Club is selling bacon wrapped hot dogs, chips and a drink for $5.  Help support future service projects.

 

*Please offer your congratulations to the JHS String Ensemble who competed at the CMEA State Solo/Ensemble Festival this weekend. The boys landed a command performance with unanimous ratings of superior from all judges. The ensemble included Antonio Benitez-Baldasari, Avery Moore, Justin Yip, Nick Rodriguez, Dominic Quiggle, Owen Clinton, John Almazan and Cameron Hawk.

 

*Jesuit Varsity Summer Tournament Work Study opportunity:  Anyone needing work study hours for this year or next there is an opportunity to get up to forty hours over 3 days May 30- June 1. Please see or email Coach Harcos

*CSF Hours forms are due on MONDAY, MAY 12 to Ms. Zanotto in LM 103. Late submissions will not be accepted.
